What are Tiny Topics™?
Tiny Topics™ are short, pre-sessions designed to clarify what’s been made complex — especially in mental health, mental ill health and the way we treat each other. Live Tiny Topics™ sessions are always free, and not recorded to protect emotional safety. Access to Tiny Topics™ core teaching content shifts to recording afterwards.
They’re not therapy.
They’re not motivation.
They’re not about fixing you.
They’re about understanding what’s actually going on, so you can respond with clarity rather than self-blame.

Tiny Topics™ Foundation Five
series one
The Tiny Topics™ Foundation Five series sits at the base of everything I teach.
Mental health has become unnecessarily complex — and for many people, more confusing than helpful.
This work brings things back to first principles, in a grounded, human way.
At its core, the Foundation Five is about orientation — the kind that allows people to live the best rest of their life with genuine peace of mind and a deep sense of inner fulfilment.
These are not abstract ideas. They are outcomes I have personally experienced in my own journey back from rock bottom, and they form the foundation of the approach I now teach.
The Foundation Five is Series One of Tiny Topics™ — it establishes the core understanding that all future series build upon.
Most people who arrive here aren’t broken.
They’re lost — life feels like driving without a map.
Or stuck — effort going in, but no real traction or momentum.
The Foundation Five addresses what sits underneath those experiences.
Across the bundle, I explore ideas that are deceptively simple yet genuinely powerful — nervous system regulation, connection, why feeling matters, how the empathy spectrum shapes our relationships, and why so many people experience being lost in the first place.
Taken together, these ideas restore context, dignity, and orientation — which is why future learning lands more clearly and compounds rather than overwhelms.
For many people, this bundle quietly compresses years of the learning curve, saving not just time and money, but unnecessary struggle and lost quality of life.
The most thoughtful gift you can give yourself — or someone you care about — is clarity.
Because minds love clarity.
What’s included in the Foundation Five
Tiny Topic 1 — Money Stress
Why money stress isn’t a personal failing.
We reframed money stress as a survival response, not a flaw.
When the nervous system is under pressure, clarity goes offline — literally.
This session explains why calm is the starting point for problem-solving, not the reward at the end.
Tiny Topic 2 — Connection
Why you can feel alone in a room full of people.
We explored connection as a nervous-system state, not a social skill.
Disconnection doesn’t happen suddenly — it happens gradually.
And reconnection isn’t something you force; it returns when the system feels safe.
A practical framework is introduced for restoring connection:
with self → with nature → with others.
Tiny Topic 3 — Feeling
What’s missing from most mental-health conversations.
Mental health isn’t just about thinking — it’s about feeling.
This session brings attention back to emotions and bodily sensations, and why both matter if we want to truly master our minds.
A simple, memorable framework is introduced:
Think – Feel – Do Authentic You
A grounded evolution of familiar CBT ideas, with particular emphasis on feeling and taking values-aligned action to master our mindset.
Tiny Topic 4 — Orientation
Why you feel lost (and the simple way back)
Feeling lost is one of the most common — and misunderstood — human experiences.
Often it’s not a crisis, but a quiet signal that something is off.
This session reframes “lost” as information, not failure, and introduces My Inner Compass™ — a simple, practical way to re-orient toward clarity and authenticity.
Together, TT1–TT4 form a clear progression:
Survival → Connection → Feeling → Orientation
Tiny Topic 5 — The Empathy Spectrum
When too much — or too little — empathy causes harm.
Empathy is one of the most misunderstood human traits.
In this session, we explore how:
too much empathy for others can lead to exhaustion and self-abandonment
too little empathy for others can damage relationships and justify harm
This is not about diagnosis or judgement.
It’s about awareness — and understanding patterns many people live inside without language for.
Why the Foundation Five matters
At the heart of this series is my core philosophy:
That much mental and physical ill-health has its roots in disconnection —
the kind trauma creates.
And that the way back is connection:
first with self,
then with the natural world,
and finally with others.
That philosophy is unpacked, step by step, across the Foundation Five.
